Chidambaram said Tuesday.

With 29 new police stations, the total number of police stations in Delhi has increased to 155. Of these 29 police stations, seven are already operational.

Dadwal said the creation of new police stations will help in better policing and service to the people.

'There will be more beats which will help in reducing response time besides simplifying the police-public ratio,' said Dadwal, adding it would help in the better handling of complaints.

'Boundaries of some of the police stations have been re-organised in order to ensure that police services are significantly improved in areas where the incidence of crime has been analysed to be high,' he said.
