Crans-sur-Sierre (Switzerland), Sep 3 - Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa had a mixed day with five birdies against four bogeys to card a one-under 70 in the first round of the Omega European Masters at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in the Swiss Alps here Thursday.
This was the former Asian Tour number one's best start since May.
However, Indian youngster Gaganjeet Bhullar, who broke through on the Asian Tour with a win in Indonesia in July, shot a 73.
The other Indians in the field include Jeev Milkha Singh, Shiv Kapur, Gaurav Ghei and S.S.P. Chowrasia.
'It was exciting. I made some bogeys but made a lot of birdies but this being the first round, I'll take it,' said Randhawa, who has missed five cuts in his last six tournaments. 'I putted decent which is something I haven't been doing too well of late. If the shot-making comes around, hopefully I can do better.'
'There has been a lack of concentration in the past few months on my part and today I concentrated a lot better.
