New Delhi, Aug 11 - The power crisis in the national capital, which has left residents fuming, is likely to continue for a few more days following abnormal increase in the power consumption this year, Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit said Tuesday.
Dikshit who reviewed the power situation in a meeting attended by Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta, other senior officials and representatives of the private power companies, said the government has asked the power companies to buy as much power as needed to meet the demand.
'The whole country is going through a very prolonged dry spell associated with unprecedented high temperatures and humidity and abnormal increase in power consumption in Delhi in comparison to last year.
