We asked the police to register an FIR but the police did not do it,' the boy's father Uday Veer Singh said.
On Monday around 9 a.m. Vivek's parents received a call from Mumbai from a man who told them that their son has been kidnapped. The caller demanded a ransom of Rs.10 lakh to free Vivek.
About 30 minutes later the boy's parents received another call, this time from Vivek himself who told them that he has been freed by the kidnappers. Then the line was suddenly disconnected.
'We are investigating the matter. Everything possible will be done to trace him,' Kavi Nagar station officer Anil Kaparwan said.
