Washington, Aug 10 (DPA) With his new twins on tow on their first overseas road trip at age two weeks, Roger Federer has all the inspiration he needs to ramp up his tennis as he returns to the courts for the next week's Montreal Masters.
'Motivation is not a problem, I'm so excited to be back,' said the world number one Sunday as he got ready for action five weeks after winning Wimbledon and a fortnight and three days after the birth of his daughters.
'I've been training really hard (near Zurich) for the past few weeks. That's why I'm back, otherwise I'd be stuck at home doing something else besides training and answering questions and playing matches.'
Federer has plenty to prove at the first hardcourt Masters prior to the Aug 31 start of the US Open, the major he is aiming to win for a sixth consecutive edition. In Canada a year ago he lost in his opening match to Frenchman Gilles Simon.
'I feel ready to go, fresh and in the mood to travel again, that's an important part,' said the player who turned 28 Saturday and celebrated in Montreal with his new family. 'I don't mind the travelling.
'If you dislike that part, it all becomes so much harder. I don't have that problem.
