Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 - Anti-Posco leader Abhay Sahu, who was released from jail last month, Friday threatened to intensify the stir against the South Korean steel major unless it relocates its proposed steel plant.
Sahu told a public rally near Paradeep: 'We warn the state government and Posco to leave their confrontational attitude and relocate to another location. We are determined not to spare an inch of land from here.'
'I am launching the second phase of protest after being released from jail and the protest would be more intense now onwards,' Sahu said in the first rally he addressed after his stint in prison.
Posco, one of the world's biggest steel makers, signed a deal with the Orissa government in June 2005 to set up a $12 billion plant near the port town of Paradeep in the coastal district of Jagatsinghpur, some 100 km from here, by 2016.
