Ashok Sharma, a government employee in Delhi, is all set to take his family to Goa. 'Yeah, I had calculated it already. You don't even need to take earned leave. Just a casual leave or sick leave of three-four days will do,' he said.

But for private sector employees, who work six days a week, it is not so easy.

'Not for the people like us who work six days. But for the people with five-day week, the opportunity is worth a catch,' said Ajay Kumar, who works in a publishing house in Delhi.

Those who cannot manage the getaway from Delhi can expect thin attendances in government offices during this period.
