DMRC further said that to maintain routine frequency of five minutes on entire line-3, short loop services were introduced between Indraprastha to Dwarka Sector -9.
'All other lines remained unaffected by this incident and train services were normal there,' the statement added.
Delhi Police have registered a case and are investigating.
The Yamuna Bank-Dwarka line is one of the busiest Metro routes in the capital. Over 850,000 people commute on the Delhi Metro's three routes that run between southwest, east, north and central Delhi presently.
