London, Sep 7 - Former England opener Marcus Trescothick, who retired from international cricket due to stress-related illness, is all set to tour India for next month's Twenty20 Champions League after being named in the Somerset squad.

Trescothick's illness surfaced during England tour to India three years ago and he had to leave midway through the series.

The 33-year-old opening batsman could never resume his international career after that as his condition prevented him from spending protracted time outside his native country.

He officially retired from international cricket in March 2008 after pulling out of Somerset's pre-season tour to Dubai.

Somerset included Trescothick in their 15-man squad and said they were looking at ways to ensure that he could make the trip.

'Marcus Trescothick is in the squad as ways are sought to enable the former England opener to overcome the problems with travelling abroad to play cricket he has experienced as a result of his stress-related illness,' said a statement on the club's website.
