Karachi, Sep 4 - Pakistan football coach George Kottan is making efforts to have a series of football and cricket matches between the national cricket and football teams later this year.
Kottan, an Austrian, has sought a meeting with cricket captain Younis Khan to get him on board regarding his proposal.
'I think, it would be the first effort of its kind in Pakistan and I expect that it would pull more than 50,000 spectators,' Kottan was quoted as sying in The News.
'The matches could be conducted under floodlights either in Lahore or Karachi, and I think the most appropriate would be after the Champions Trophy in South Africa.'
Kottan hoped that Younis will support his idea.
