Asked whether Ribery would now be asked to knuckle down after all the speculation over his future, Rummenigge said: 'Franck's character is absolutely OK. Everyone should treat these things in a relaxed way.'
Rummenigge meanwhile said he was not interested in comments by former players such as goalkeeper Oliver Kahn who this week advised keeper Michael Rensing to seek a new club after again being dropped.
'I am not interested in all these critics,' he said.
'They should see that they find themselves a job in which they have something to say and not behave like the paid chief critics of FC Bayern,' he said.
