The team started its probe July 1 and will submit a report to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon after completing the investigation. Ban will then share the report with the Pakistani government and the Security Council.

The team will also meet Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Babar Awan, Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim, former district police officer Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and people who were close to Bhutto for questioning, sources said.

Malik was the chief protocol officer of Benazir Bhutto at that time.

Doctor Musaddaq Hussain of the Benazir Shaheed Hospital told the UN team that Bhutto's postmortem was not carried out on the request of her husband Asif Ali Zardari.
