'The estimated direct loss due to the accident is Rs.6 crore and the work on the section will be delayed by three months. But the deadline of the Central Secretariat to Badarpur section remains unchanged,' Reddy said.

The committee will look into the causes leading to the accident including checking the quality of material used, the design, workmanship, method of construction and precautions that need to be taken at other Delhi Metro sites.
