New Delhi, July 13 - The accident at the metro construction site in south Delhi Sunday, in which six people were killed, did not take place because of any hurry to meet the Commonwealth Games deadline next year, Urban Development Minister S. Jaipal Reddy told parliament Monday.

He said that the Central Secretariat to Badarpur section will be opened as per schedule in September 2010.

'The accident did not take place because of any hurry. We shall never compromise on the quality of the work. A four member high level committee has been formed to look into the matter and they will submit the report within ten days,' Reddy said.
