He added that the Organisation of American States should make efforts to bring an end to the crisis in Honduras that started after soldiers forced Zelaya into exile in Costa Rica June 28.
Calderon said he supported Costa Rican President Oscar Arias' scheme for restoration of Zelaya that seeks to end the crisis by returning Zelaya to office with limited powers and an amnesty for those who carried out the coup.
Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who also attended the summit, said he supported the 'rule of law and democratic government in Honduras'.
