Lyon (France), Aug 6 - The Interpol has issued a global alert for 13 individuals wanted in Pakistan in connection with the Nov 26 Mumbai terror attacks that killed over 160 people.
Interpol's National Central Bureau (NCB) in Islamabad, Pakistan, issued the alert, which asks member countries to immediately notify NCB Islamabad and Interpol's General Secretariat headquarters in Lyon with any investigative leads.
If the fugitives are located, Pakistani authorities will formally request provisional arrest with extradition procedure in accordance with any applicable extradition treaty.
The alert, called a diffusion and sent by the Interpol's I-24/7 secure police communications network to all Interpol's 187 member countries contains the fugitives' names and other data. It ensures that all Interpol's member countries are alerted to the wanted status of the 13 individuals.
