Xining (China), Aug 3 (Xinhua) One more person died of the fatal pneumonic plague in northwest China Monday, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease to three, health officials said.

The latest victim was from China's Qinghai province.

Danzhi, 64, died in Ziketan town after suffering from the fatal disease.

Earlier, two other men died of the infectious disease, which broke out July 30 in the province.

A 32-year-old man and one of his neighbours, a 37-year-old man, died after suffering from the disease.

The disease also affected nine other people, who were quarantined.

However, there were no new cases of the disease.
