Diego Iniguez, a Political Science graduate, urged US President Barack Obama to keep his promises to respect the sovereignty of all the nations worldwide.

In this regard, the members of the 40th contingent of the Venceremos Brigade ratified the need to keep pressure on Obama, who can release immediately the five anti-terrorist Cuban fighters - Fernando Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino and Antonio Guerrero - held in US prisons.

The Venceremos Brigade was formed in 1969 in the US to show solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and to challenge US policies towards the island nation.

The members of the brigade arrived in Cuba July 20 and will stay in the Island until Aug 2.
