Havana, July 29 (Prensa Latina) The Venceremos Brigade, the US organisation showing solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, has called on the US government to abolish its 1962 economic blockade on Cuba.

In a press conference in Havana Tuesday, the group members ratified their support for the Cuban Revolution and demanded the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the countries.

They also rejected the travel restrictions imposed on US citizens. 'We will continue defying the travel ban until it and the blockade are lifted,' said social worker Kathe Karlson.

Californian community leader Tshaka Barrows said that in spite of economic limitations caused by the blockade, the social gains of the Cuban system, including health and education, are more appropriate than those provided to the US population.

'A different world is possible, and though it demands great effort, we are ready to reveal all we have learned here so that people know about Cuba in the United States,' said Barrows.
