Shoaib Malik of Pakistan gains seven places to 38th position following his century in the Colombo Test.

Danish Kaneria marked an impressive return to form in Colombo and gained three places in the rankings for Test bowlers. He is in 16th position now.

The bowling list is still headed by South Africa's Dale Steyn with Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka at second and Australian Mitchell Johnson at third place.

There was no change in the top five rankings for Test all-rounders with Kallis still leading the way from Johnson of Australia and New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori.
