Protests were held in Noida-phase II, Dadri, Jewar, Khurja, Surajpur and Bhangel areas of Gautam Budh Nagar.

Trains were halted for 15-20 minutes at New Ghaziabad railway station by the striking lawyers.

'The response was phenomenal and traders associations and panchayats also supported our cause. There would be a meeting on Sep 19 at Gautam Budh Nagar where the future course of action would be decided,' said Shiv Dutt Tyagi, president of Ghaziabad Bar Association.
