Patna, Sep 7 - Dozens of handicapped students Monday blocked rail tracks at the Rajendra Nagar terminal near the Patna railway station Monday to protest the looting of handicapped passengers on a train late Saturday night, police said.
The students on wheelchairs blocked the tracks for nearly an hour, shouting slogans against the incident and demanding stern action against criminals involved, police said.
The protest ended only after the railway authorities assured the children of action.
Armed criminals looted nearly a dozen handicapped passengers, and shot and injured one of them in the Danapur-Howrah express train in Bihar late Saturday night.
'Soon after the train left Patna station, a dozen armed men, mostly youths, pretending to be passengers, boarded the special bogie for the handicapped and looted the passengers at gun point,' police said.
