Manila, Sep 7 (Xinhua) Twenty people were missing Monday after the vessel in which they were travelling sank off the coast of Eastern Samar province in the Philippines, media reports said.

The Panama-registered vessel was carrying two South Koreans and 18 Filipinos at the time of the accident.

Coast guards have meanwhile launched a search operation for the missing people and the vessel.
