Bangkok, Aug 31 - Saad Khan, a reality show contestant from Pakistan, drowned while performing a death defying challenge for a yet-to-be-titled show being shot in Bangkok.

Khan, 32, was swimming across a lake wearing a heavy backpack when he disappeared under water, leaving horrified contestants and emergency crews fighting to find him in the murky depths.

His body was recovered by divers, reports contactmusic.com. While the incident occurred Aug 19, it wasn't announced until Khan's body was taken back to Karachi. The reality show has been put on hold.
