Kabul, Aug 27 (Xinhua) A dozen Taliban fighters were killed by security forces when they entered a hospital in Afghanistan's eastern Paktika province, a statement said Thursday.

'The incident occurred Wednesday when a group of Taliban militants entered a hospital in Saroza district,' the government statement said.

The statement said the Taliban fighters had secretly brought one injured commander along with three others for medical treatment.

Six more insurgents were captured by the police during the operation.
