London, Aug 26 - Hollywood singer-actress Beyonce Knowles has been named Woman of the Year by Billboard magazine.

The 'Crazy In Love' hitmaker has enjoyed another year of stellar successes after last year, with smash hit songs 'Single Ladies' and 'If I Were A Boy', a number one album, a sold-out world tour, and an invite to sing at US President Barack Obama's inauguration this year, reports billboard.com.

Staff at music industry publication Billboard decided the superstar deserves recognition for her achievements and will honour her at their Women In Music event Oct 2 this year.

Previous winners include R&B singer Ciara and country star Reba McEntire.
