London, Aug 24 - Hollywood singer-actress Lindsay Lohan's house has been ransacked by burglars.
The 'Mean Girls' star returned to her home in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills Sunday morning to find it ransacked, reports people.com.
'The safe was ripped out of the wall and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed. Bags, shoes and jewellery were taken too... Thank God she wasn't home. She's Ok, but upset,' said the 23-year-old star's mother Dina.
Staff are now packing up Lohan's remaining belongings so she and her sister Ali can move to a more secure location.
Dina confirmed: 'We are moving her to a safer place. Ali and Lindsay just left me in New York, and left people in charge to pack.'
Lohan's father Michael is convinced the burglary was an 'inside job' and has hired a private investigator to look into the case.
He said: 'I'm sick of people bugging my daughter and using her.
