Sydney, Aug 24 - Injured Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin will return to Australia from the side's tour of England.

Haddin fractured the ring finger of his left hand before the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston and did not take part in that match. He, however, played in the fourth and fifth Tests.

Ruling Haddin out, Australian physiotherapist Alex Kountouris in a Cricket Australia statement said: 'It has now been decided that Brad will return to Australia to allow him further recovery time and consultation with specialists to determine the best possible management of the injury.

'His participation in any of the One-day and Twenty20 matches of Australia's tour of England and the Champions Trophy will be decided after consultation with these specialists.'

At this stage, a replacement player will not be added to the Australian squad.
