Seoul, Aug 20 - South Korea Thursday reported 97 new cases of swine flu, raising the number of people infected by the influenza A (H1N1) virus in the country to 2,417, the WAM news agency reported.

For the first time the daily total exceeded the figure 90, South Korean health officials said.

They said more people could be affected by the virus, as the weather was getting cooler with autumn season setting in.
