London, Aug 19 (DPA) The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is turning the collapse of US investment bank Lehman Brothers nearly a year ago into a TV fiction film, it was announced Wednesday.
'The Last Days Of Lehman Brothers' is inspired by real-life events over a weekend in mid-September, 2008, which resulted in Lehman's collapse and accelerated the international banking crisis.
Executive producer Ruth Caleb said the events would be 'brought to life' by a high-profile cast including US actor James Cromwell. The script was written by playwright and screenwriter Craig Warner.
The hour-long drama, to go on air this autumn, will follow the desperate efforts of former Lehman chief executive Dick Fuld to save the bank.
