Schwalmtal (Germany), Aug 19 (DPA) A 71-year-old pensioner faces murder charges following shootings late Tuesday in which three people were killed and a fourth wounded, German police said Wednesday.
They said those killed were two lawyers and a real estate appraiser from the area serving the western German town of Schwalmtal near the Dutch border, where the shootings took place.
The pensioner was the father of a woman who jointly owned a house which was apparently the object of a legal dispute. The wounded person was a second real estate appraiser.
The gunman holed himself up inside a house after the shootings but later gave himself up as police stormed the building.
