Baghdad, Aug 12 (Xinhua) At least eight people were killed and 30 others injured in two separate car bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital Tuesday night, the police said.

The first explosion occurred near a Shia mosque in the Al-Amin district of Baghdad, while the second explosion took place near a coffee shop in the same district.

Eight people were killed and 30 injured in the bombings, a police official said requesting anonymity. The number of deaths in each of the incidents was not immediately known. The explosions also damaged nearby buildings.
