London, Auh 11 - Former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham was persuaded by her three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - to appear as a judge on the music reality show 'American Idol'.

Beckham's sons at first thought she was going to be a contestant on the show. But when she revealed that she was going to be a judge, the boys couldn't contain their excitement, reports mirror.co.uk.

'Victoria's sons are big fans of 'American Idol' and that's what persuaded her to do it. She has been courted by the show for the last few seasons, but her schedule has never permitted her to do it before. There's a chance she may do a second show later but that is not confirmed,' said a source close to the show.

Beckham has said that she could only be a guest judge on the show due to her fashion commitments.
