London, Aug 6 - Hollywood filmmaker Ridley Scott is teaming up with actor Lenoardo DiCaprio to transform cult novel 'Brave New World' for the big screen.
The 'American Gangster' director has reportedly been signed to helm the new movie, an adaptation of Aldous Huxley's acclaimed 1931 book, which is set in 2540 A.D. and DiCaprio who is expected to take the lead role in the picture, already owns the film rights to the novel through his production company Appian Way, reports express.co.uk.
The book focuses on a futuristic society which holds technological advances in higher esteem than natural ones, including reproduction.
According to sources, 'Apocalypto' screenwriter Farhad Safinia is set to pen the script.
Scott, who is currently finishing his 'Robin Hood' project, has previously directed DiCaprio in 2008's 'Body of Lies'.
