Mumbai, Aug 5 - A key index of the Indian equities markets climbed back into the green Wednesday after languishing in the red for much of the trading day. But about an hour and a quarter before the end of trading, it was 66 points up from its last closing figure.

At 2.45 p.m., the 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 15,882.39 points, was ruling 66.06 points or 0.42 percent up at 15,897.04 points.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), too, was ruling in the green at 4,686.25 points, up 0.12 percent.

Broader market indices also moved into positive terrain with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.25 percent higher, while the BSE small cap index was trading 1.04 percent up.
