New York, Aug 4 - Actress Mischa Barton, who was released from hospital last week, made a public appearance Monday with newly-dyed brunette hair.

She attended the Arizona Beverages & Music Unites All Points West concert in New York dressed in a black strappy cutaway skin-tight Lycra dress and black tights. The former 'O.C.' star looked healthy and fresh-faced, reported mirror.co.uk.

Barton had been rushed to the Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last month for 'an undisclosed medical complaint'. Reports at the time said that she had been suicidal.

Barton is back at work too. She is filming her new TV show 'The Beautiful Life', in which she plays a pill-popping supermodel.
