London, July 30 - Hollywood actress-filmmaker Diane Keaton is heading to the small screen for the first time and she will star in a new comedy for US network HBO as a character who sets up a porn mag for women.

The Oscar-winner is set to star in a yet-to-be-titled half-hour special from writer Marti Noxon that will be executive-prodcued by Dawn Parouse with Keaton, reports contactmusic.com.

Parouse also insists that 'The Godfather' actress was the first choice for the strong part because she is no stranger to playing feminist roles.

'Diane has been attracted to roles about women exploring their sexuality in films like 'Something's Gotta Give',' Parouse said.
