London, July 30 - Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino hoards junk and says his bachelor pad is like a 'fraternity house' because it is so messy.

The 'Inglourious Basterds' director never throws things away, but blames the fact he lives alone for his less-than-pristine surroundings, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

'I'm a bachelor, so literally my place is like a dorm room. A fraternity house of one. If you walked in the door you would just see lots of stacks of s**t,' he said.

'You could come to my house to visit and bring a copy of a magazine with you and put it on the counter, and three years later you could come back and that magazine would still be on that counter. I have a problem throwing stuff out,' he added.

Tarantino also refuses to throw away electronic equipment and says he can't understand why people replace their old devices with modern equivalents.

'I lose respect for people who disconnect their video tape player. If you don't have a record player, if you don't have a vinyl player that you can play, if you don't have your VCR still connected to your TV, you go down a little bit in my estimations,' he said.
