Ahmedabad, July 24 - The Gujarat High Court Friday dismissed a petition challenging a probe to be conducted by the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) against Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet colleagues and officials for their alleged role in the 2002 communal violence in the state.

Dismissing the plea filed by former Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) legislator Kalu Maliwad, the court said that the SIT probe against the chief minister and others would continue.
