London, Sep 18 - Oscar-award winning actress Halle Berry has denied rumours of her being pregnant.

The 43-year-old star, who has an 18-month-old daughter Nahla with partner Gabriel Aubry, insists that any hint of her recent baby bump is actually excess weight caused by feasting on too many calorific treats, reports gossip.ie.

When US talk show host Jay Leno complimented her on her appearance at his show, she said: 'You know, thank you for that, Jay, because that must mean that pregnancy rumours can be put to bed... I was getting a complex! Because I was like, 'I've got to stop with the burgers or something.'

Berry wore a tight-fitting black dress and thigh-high boots for her appearance on the show Thursday in an attempt to dispel the rumours.

Earlier this month, it was reported that she had undergone artificial insemination to have another baby.
