London, Aug 29 - American actress Alicia Silverstone, who wants to write children's books, says she wants to have kids as people won't buy her books unless she is a mother herself.

'I have a lot to say about kids, but I don't think anyone wants to hear that when you don't have them. So I want to have kids,' Alicia was quoted as saying by femalefirst.co.uk.

The 32-year-old star, who is married to musician Chris Jarecki, said the couple plans to start a family in 2010.
