London, Aug 27 - British comedian Russell Brand and US singer Katy Perry have teamed up for a spoof of the song 'Tonight' from the Broadway hit 'West Side Story' in a video to promote the MTV Video Music Awards.

Dailymail.co.uk reports that during the performance Brand sings: 'I'm in charge of who gets awards, Tonight, Tonight, I know its impolite but I will swap these for... rewards... Will saucy Pink and Katy Perry kiss, yes they might.'

In the video he dances on streets while singing the song. Perry performs on a rooftop against the backdrop of New York and chops away at a hedge to shape the letters -- MTV.

This is the second year in a row that Brand is hosting the awards show and it will air on September 13 at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
